Frequently asked questions.

What should I expect?

During our first session we’ll talk about your background, current stressors, and future hopes. We’ll work collaboratively to come up with a plan to realistically help you meet your goals, talk about modalities, and review the therapeutic process. It’s normal to feel uneasy about a first therapy session, but I encourage you to trust the process.

How long is each session?

Sessions are typically 55 minutes in length. During our first session, we’ll come up with an approach and plan that fits your schedule.

Do you take insurance?

I’m an out-of-network provider, meaning I do not directly accept insurance. However, I’m happy to provide you with a detailed receipt (called a “superbill”) to submit to insurance for possible reimbursement. Many clients find they are eligible for reimbursement. I’m also a certified out-of-network provider for TriCare, and accept payments via HSA/FSA accounts.

What is the cost?

Sessions are $180 for a 55 minute session. If cost is a barrier to receiving treatment, please reach out. I offer a limited number of sliding scale slots.
